I have had several people ask what alpha lipoic acid is, here’s a brief explanation. Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) enhances the effects of other antioxidants; it supports energy production at the cellular level, and assists in keeping blood sugar levels within the normal range. It also protects the liver, aids the cardiovascular system by slowing the formation of clots, and supports nerve cell health and repair.

Alpha Lipoic Acid is often called the universal antioxidant. It has both fat and water soluble properties. ALA can cross any membrane in the body, including the blood brain barrier. Alpha lipoic acid can protect the integrity of the cell membrane as well as offset cell stress. ALA also promotes mitochondria activity to help keep your body and its tissues vibrant. It also enhances the efforts of other antioxidants by making their requirement go down. ALA helps support the body’s natural removal of toxins, thus aiding the liver. In addition to its antioxidant properties, alpha lipoic acid directs calories away from fat production and toward energy production; many nutritionists use it as a weight loss supplement. ALA supports maintaining normal blood sugar levels and assists the nervous system by protecting the myelin sheath.

NSP’s newest supplement is a wonder for the circulatory system. RG-Max helps maintain healthy circulation. It promotes stamina during exercise. It protects against premature cardiovascular aging and provides powerful antioxidant benefits particularly to the cardiovascular system. RG-Max supports heart function and the amino acid profile it contains positively impacts blood lipid profiles. All the amino acids it contains support the heart and skeletal muscles. All this, and it is still a low glycemic drink because of the benefits of xylitol.

What RG-Max is, is an amino acid drink mix. Its design was to help support heart function and blood vessel flexibility. RG-Max contains 10 different amino acids, which are used by the body to help repair and build muscles, including the heart muscle, or if you’re a bodybuilder, bigger muscles everywhere. Improved circulation helps support increased energy and stamina levels. RG-Max’s amino acid profile supports male sexual function, mostly because of the high content of l-arginine.

Red grape extract in RG-Max also provides powerful antioxidant benefits that directly helps protect the circulatory system. The all-natural xylitol makes RG-Max taste agreeable, without the harmful effects of sugar. Most amino acid drinks remind the palate you’re stealing gas from the local constable. RG Max contains xylitol, l-arginine, citric acid, a natural strawberry flavoring, natural lemon juice, malic acid, silicon dioxide, red grape skin extract, taurine, l-isoleucine, l-leucine, l-methionine, l-tyrosine, l-threonine, N-acetyl-l-cysteine, l-glutamine, and l-carnitine.

As an added note, I had referral from a person who experiences angina, and the RA-Max stopped the angina, completely. If you experience angina, see a doctor, quick, but taking RG-Max for the problem will only help.

The most common bowel problem seen in Americans today as referred to in Traditional Chinese Medicine is the symptoms of spleen chi deficiency.

These signs are general weakness, weak quadriceps, lethargy, pale appearance or red face, shallow breathing, low or soft voice, little desire to speak, poor or voracious appetite, prolonged headaches, fatigue, loose stools, stools with a small diameter, sudden dizziness, tired eyes, dislike of cold foods, dislike of greasy foods, dislike of raw foods, sleepy after eating, abdominal discomfort that feels better when pressure is applied, and headache after exertion. Symptoms are worse in the morning. Indigestion, bloating, and gas, weak limbs, deep red or pale tongue, coated tongue in the morning, swollen abdominal sides, prone to ulcers, and anemia also may be a spleen chi deficiency.

The foods to support the spleen chi deficiency are apricots, dates, figs, low-fat well-done beef, root vegetables, warm foods, soups, and heating spices such as red pepper, ginger, and cumin.

The herbal formulas are Chinese Spleen Activator and Chinese Anti Gas. CLT-X and Intestinal Soothe & Build also support the spleen, but not near what the Chinese formulas do. Food Enzymes are a must for a weakened spleen condition. Proactazyme are bedtime can be a benefit.

There are two current thoughts on the cause of disease, Earth Theory and Germ Theory. The Germ theory states we become ill due to any invading organism, virus, bacteria, or fungus. The medical field accepts this theory and attempts to use drugs, vaccines, antibiotics, surgery, radiation, and disease killing chemicals to control the disease. History has shown little success in their attempts using these methods.

The Earth theory states we become ill by the way we live, the way we think, and the way we accept our environment. Earth theory uses lifestyle changes, herbs, vitamins, minerals, and any alternative health practice that is considered ancient and backwards by the educated medical field.

Surprise, they are both correct. It is the lifestyle we choose that allows pathogens to enter our lives, but pathogens, as in Germ Theory, it is. One can choose the allopathic approach, or the natural approach, and the intelligent choose both. That’s the best of both worlds in this case; we need allopathic medicine as much as the world needs alternative medicine. What needs to come to the thought of all healers is the necessity to work together.

Tom, Bill, Barry, Cy, Monty, Milt, Richard, Don, Bert, and I were all asked why our pickups never get stolen even though we never lock them; easy farm n’ ranch trucks never get stolen, because …. #1 they only go about 30 miles before they’re out of gas, #2 only we know how to operate the doors, #3 it’s hard to drive fast with a cab full of tools, ropes, chains, binders, buckets, etc, #4 the smoke coming up through the rusted floorboards hinders vision, #5 the dogs in the cab are grouchy, #6 their description makes them easy to identify, driver side door is green, passenger side door is red, etc, #7 the manure smell can be hard to tolerate, #8 top speed is 39 miles an hour, downhill, with a tailwind, #9 nobody wants a truck that needs more repairs than total value, AND #10 it’s hard to commit a crime with everyone waving at you.
