Do these three things or you will be FIRED!

Have you ever wondered why some people get fired and others don’t?   Or why some people seem to have the ability to retain clients longer, while others don’t?

Well here are three questions to ponder that may very well keep you from being fired (whether it is for a job or a client):

  1. What is the perceived value of your service?
In other words, how much value are you creating in other people’s lives by providing your service, product or education.  There is a very clear universal law, that you shall be paid in direct proportion to the value you are bringing to others.
  2. How would you rate the quality of your service?
If you didn’t give yourself a rating of excellent, then what could you be doing to get it to an excellent status.  This is where the old cliche of over-delivering comes into play.  Are you giving more than what is expected of you?  If not, why not?  What is stopping you?  And how are you willing to change it?
  3. How easily can your service, product or education be replaced?
Are there many others providing the same thing you are offering?  If so, that doesn’t mean that you can easily be replaced, that simply means that you have the opportunity to also see how well you are addressing questions 1 and 2 of this article.  Is what you are doing and how you are delivering it unique?  If so, it makes it even tougher to be easily replaced.

Take all three of these questions and HONESTLY answer them for yourself.  After evaluating your answers, consider what else can you to strengthen these three areas?  Keep strengthening these three areas and you may never find yourself out of a job or business again.
