Did you know that every single dollar you spend is supporting a company that is either socially responsible or socially irresponsible?  What does that mean?  Glad you asked….let me give you a few examples.

Did you know that Exon-Mobil is considered th #1 worst corporation on the planet, is a renowned human rights violator and is #5 in the “Top 100 corporate criminals”.  Compare that against Sunoco-BP which is the largest solar power manufacturere, is working with Amnesting international and the World Wildlife Foundation, and has the “Best Ethical Ranking” in the industry by Convalence Ethical Rankings.  Who would you get gas from?  View the grade other gas stations received.

Let’s take a look at hair care companies.  Do you happen to know anyone using Biolage (L’Oreal)?  Did you know that this company continues unnecessary animal testing?  Did you know that their ingridients include known carcinogens?  And it is a company that is a target of two major boycotts.   Lets take a look at a highly rated hair care product.  Druide uses 100% sustainably harvested ingredients, they use strict ECOCERT organic standards, use fair trade, organic ingredients, and is an industry leader in the category of environment.  Hmmmm?  Which hair care products will you be using?  View the grade of other hair care products.

Let’s do one more just for fun.

Wal-Mart is the #3 worst company on the planet, it has received an “F” for overall social responsibility from the Council on Economic Priorities, has been involved in sex-discrimination class-action lawsuit, and has documented exploitation of child labor.  Now lets look at IKEA.  IKEA works with UNICEF & Greenpeace, uses no timber from natural forests, is involved in affordable housing efforts, and supports efforts to stop international child labor.  Who would you like to support? View the grade of other retail stores.
