Take Shape For Life is a network[vague] of weight-loss centers that focus on a triad of health: mind, body, and finances.[citation needed] Franchisees are trained as coaches to assist customers in participating in the Medifast Diet weight-loss program. ||!prliignore10||
Take Shape for Life is a wholly owned subsidiary of Medifast, Inc. It is well capitalized, strong financially, and owns and controls its own manufacturing facilities, which are inspected by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and significant warehousing and distribution facilities.[citation needed] Wayne Andersen is the chief architect and co-founder of Take Shape for Life.

Medifast is a low-fat, low-carb, calorie restriction diet plan. Metafast claims that the diet allows the typical dieter to remain healthy while losing weight[citation needed] by inducing a mild state of ketosis where fat is burned instead of muscle.[citation needed] On a typical day, the targeted amount of caloric intake for a Medifast dieter is 800-1000 calories.||!prliignore15||
