Have you ever wondered what your prospective clients are searching? Ever considered how much better your business would perform if you knew exactly what your prospective client is looking for? How valuable would this search information be to you and your business?
I’m assuming that if you’ve got this far in this article, you understand the power of knowing your prospective clients and you are constantly looking for ways to better meet their needs. Well, in this article I will be sharing with you some free and some paid resources that can help you get this information. I trust you will use it wisely and with integrity to support your potential clients and as a result, increase your level of success and wealth.
Remember, our focus is to identify what are your clients may be looking for and using this information to fulfill their needs.
This particular subject matter may take various postings and I encourage you to get the information and APPLY it. Otherwise, it is simply having good information that doesn’t do much on its own. The power is in applying it.
Lets get started. But, before I really get going, I want to remind you that free is free for a reason. There are very few cases where something free will outdo something that you actually paid for. Thus, I will share both types of resources and trust you will benefit from using both.
First, lets identify what we can use to understand the key thoughts your prospective clients may be having. Lets identify what “keywords” your prospects are using to find you. In case you are wondering, What is a “keyword”? it is simply key words that are being used by a person to search for a specific piece of information. Anytime someone uses Google or Yahoo or MSN or any other search engine and type in a search term, these words are being stored as data. This data is available to the public. There are resources that help bring a bit of order to this data and make it more powerful. Our focus for today is to share some of these resources.
One more thing before I share the tools. I will share with you how I keep my strategy simple, find highly searched specific keyword terms that are relevant to my topic and that have less competitors. Then I use this information in my website, in articles, in press releases, in videos, and similar delivery modalities to increase my exposure to the world. That’s it…truly, I like to keep things simple. Keep this strategy in mind as you learn about the following resources.
Now that you have the strategy lets share the tools to make this strategy work for you:
- Google Keywords – This is a free tool that Google offers to help you access their data. It is limited to Google, but it does give a pretty good resource.
- Keyword Elite – This is a very reasonably priced (one time payment) software that organizes the data for the major search engines and gives you a much more robust tool with data from a broader spectrum. By the way, you also get lifetime updates.
- Wordtracker – This is what I consider the top resource used by serious marketers. It is a paid subscription at a fairly reasonable rate. The main advantage is that you are getting the most current data from all the major search engines. It does take a small learning curve, but you can do this with their free trial.
There are other resources that are available, but with these three major tools have provided me with the information I’ve needed to create a great deal of success. I trust this resources will serve you well as you use them and apply them with the simple strategy I shared with you.
